And if you’re feeling really fancy, you can also check out the museum’s online silent auction, which ends Sunday, June 7th, or the live auction, which happens Saturday, June 6th, starting at 5:00pm. It’s all in support of a great cause, our very own world-class art museum, so check it out and buy something if you can!
The first leg of my 2026 Spring / Summer mini-tour is both already under way and coming up fast! The Crocker’s auction season is upon us, including “Big Names, Small Art”, which includes 284 pieces that you can bid for online starting at just $25! There’s a lot of amazing work, but my piece, “The Geezer,” can be found here; bidding ends June 1st. Furthermore, all of the Big Names, Small Art pieces will be on display Thursday, May 21st, starting at 5:30. Mrs. Baggs and I plan to attend, so hopefully you will too!
![An oil pastel drawing and promotional flyer sit next to each other in the same image. In the pastel drawing by Jesse Baggs, a bald, oversized man smiles at the viewer and rubs his hands together. He smokes a cigarette, has nicotine-stained teeth and fingernails, and wears a tan overcoat and blue tie. The flyer by the Crocker Art Museum is yellow and features diagonal green text that reads, “Art Auction.” Below that in a smaller, horizontal font is the text, “Big Names, Small Art[;] Crocker Art Museum.”](https://jessebaggs.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/gzr2026bnsa-600x457.jpg)
