Chris Wisnia’s 2026 CrockerTron poster adopted for a specific event at that year’s CrockerCon. The “CrockerCon” logo above the Tower Bridge remains at the top, along with the three vertical panels to the left featuring artists and cartoonists related to Sacramento. However, words were added above the CrockerCon logo so that it now reads, “Picture This! Comes to Crockeron.” Below that in a black box is the text, “The ONLY Live Animated Comedy Show!” In the main area of the poster where CrockerTron previously stood is text that reads, “Featuring Stand-Up Comedians James Adomian (Comedy Bang Bang, Rick & Morty, Gravity Falls)[,] Brandie Posey (Comedy Central, Vans Warped Tour, Lady to Lady)[,] Sean Keane (HBO Max, Best of SF)[, and] Rick Wood (Limestone Comedy Festival, Ridiculousness)[,] and Live Animation from Pendleton Ward (Creator of Adventure Time & The Midnight Gospel)[,] David Feiss (Creator of Cow & Chicken, Yoohoo & Friends)[, and] Mike Hollingsworth (Director of Animation on BoJack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie).” At the bottom is a large red rectangle with yellow text reading, “September 2oth 2026[,] 2:45PM Doors 3PM Show[,] At the Crocker Art Museum[,] 216 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814.”

CrockerCon 2026 is less than two weeks away and there is some amazing programming scheduled! However, first things first–I’ve been saying for months that the event starts at noon but it actually begins at 10am, which means two more hours of fun! Adjust your calendars accordingly.

The biggest news for nerds of a certain age is that the creator of Adventure Time, Pendelton Ward, will be there to participate in a live animated comedy show along with one of my favorite comedians, James Adomian! The show, hosted by Brandie Posey, is called “Picture This!” and will also feature Mike Hollingsworth, who was the supervising director of BoJack Horseman. That begins at 3pm. At 1pm there will also be a panel on the life of Sam Keith, who passed away this year.

For nerds of any age, there will be the rest of this year’s guests and programming, including a costume parade, the 501st Legion, the American Association of Editorial Cartoonists, David Andry, Art of Toys, Mark Badger, Benjamin Barclay, Dan Bethel, Thomas Campbell, Capital Books, Coin Op Books, Comics and Collectibles, Perry Crowe, Drawcademy, Lex Farado, Fieldmouse Press, The Four Eyes, Jason Guillaume, Heroic Girls, Impound Comics, Instinked Comics, Jared Konopitski, Lionel’s Place, Robert Love, Martinez Bros. Comics, Nooligan, Jack Ohman, Brandon Mckinney, the National Cartoonist Society, Onecuppacoffee Cosplay, Melissa Paglucia, Mimi Pond, Prism Comics, Danny J. Quick, Amber Rankin, Sac Con / Sac Anime, SacGeeks, Sacramento Brick Builders, Sacramento Developers Collective, Sacramento Ghostbusters, the Sacramento Public Library, Sacramento Spider-Verse, Soleigh Saulque, Sector7 Salon, Christopher Schenck, Terry Shoemaker, Mary Shyne, Silver Lake Shorts, Bruce Simon, Sleeprockers, Cody Vrosh, the Walt Disney Family Museum, Jonathan Wayshak, Jon Williams, Chris Wisnia, and me!

I’ll be back next week with a preview of the new merch I’ll be debuting at CrockerCon, so stay tuned!
