I created this about twenty years ago for an illustration contest, imagining a horrible future in which late-90s fashion had become illegal! However, I was having some trouble putting together all the details (the frame, background, and foreground characters were all drawn on separate pieces of paper), then became overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy (as usual) and gave up. I rediscovered it recently and used PhotoShop to put all the pieces together and add color. And who knows, maybe late-90s fashion will come back soon! Apologies on this one to Operation Ivy and comics artist Dave Johnson, whose work I looked to when designing the armored cop.
